Hey, I’m Mary!
I’m a Seattle-based muralist, painter, and art teacher. I’ve created murals everywhere from neighborhood walls to U.S. embassies, and I chair the Art Department at Skagit Valley College, where I’ve been teaching mural painting for over 10 years.
This beginner-friendly course is a step-by-step introduction to mural painting, focused on creating a bold sunburst mural from start to finish. I’ll guide you through materials, safety, wall prep, planning, masking, layering, and color blending, so you can confidently transform a blank wall (or a large canvas) into something radiant and joyful.
